Celebrating the arts, storytelling, and imagination at
SXSW EDU featuring the 2024 film and performance lineups.

SXSW EDU is proud to unveil nine powerful films selected to screen at this year’s event taking place March 4-7 in Austin, Texas.

From what began as an homage to the SXSW Film & TV Festival, the SXSW EDU Film Program has grown to become a cornerstone of the event’s festival programming. Each screening will tell stories that illuminate various challenges and achievements impacting learning communities across the globe.

This year's film lineup includes Harlem Rising, Butterfly in the Sky, We Are Columbine, and many more — along with the creators such as the directors and producers, who will join the stage for post-screening Q&As to dive deeper into their work with the audience.

Today's announcement also includes four performances selected from PanelPicker®, featuring an exciting lineup of talented poets, musicians, and artists.

From an open mic to student musical theater, this year's lineup will push the conversation forward around expression, mental well-being, relatability, and education.
