SXSW MUSIC FESTIVAL - SECOND ROUND OF SHOWCASING
ARTISTS ANNOUNCED
Reverberating with the Sounds of Emerging and Headlining Artists

Austin, Texas - December 7, 2022 - The South by Southwest® Music Festival (SXSW®) has announced the second round of Showcasing Artists invited to perform at the 37th annual event. The festival will reverberate with the sounds of emerging and headlining artists performing for the international creative community and enthusiastic music fans. The first essential and global music event on the industry’s calendar, the SXSW Music Festival takes place March 13 - 18, 2023 on Austin’s iconic and offbeat stages.

Each year, SXSW Music Festival programmers present the best new artists and established acts from countries around the world including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Wales. Highlights from this round of artists include: Ambré (New Orleans LA), be your own PET (Nashville TN), deca joins (Taipei TAIWAN), English Teacher (Leeds UK), The Lemon Twigs (Long Island NY), Obongjayar (Calabar NIGERIA), Oracle Sisters (Paris FRANCE), OSEES (Los Angeles CA), Painted Shield (Seattle WA), Paraísos (Barranquilla COLOMBIA), ROGÊ (Rio de Janeiro BRAZIL), Shanghai Baby (Madrid SPAIN), Sobs (Singapore SINGAPORE), Sunflower Bean (New York NY), Tokio Meyers (London UK), UNI and the Urchins (New York NY), and The Zombies (St Albans UK).

This is one of several announcements of one-of-a-kind showcases spanning six nights giving attendees the opportunity to experience small stage performances of artists who will be on much larger festival stages in the near future. Showcases are curated by SXSW programmers in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, export offices, management and PR firms, publishers, media outlets, lifestyle brands and festivals. Some of this year’s influential showcase presenters include Anniversary Group, Aquarium Drunkard, Athens in Austin, Atomic Music Group, BreakOut West, British Music Embassy, CareFreeBlackGirl, Don Giovanni Records, Fire Records, FOCUS Wales, Gold Diggers, Gorilla vs Bear, Island Wave, Jazz re:freshed Outernational, M for Montreal, Mint Talent Group, Music From Ireland, New West Records, Pop Montreal, Post-Electric Artists, Rocky Road Touring, Rolling Loud, Rolling Stone, Selector presents Jamz Supernova, Six Shooter Records, Space Agency, Spaceflight Records, Speedy Wunderground, We Were Never Being Boring, Wide Days Scotland, and WOMEX.
